Preparing for Storms

When a great storm or earthquake hits, a seemingly strong structure will reveal the strength of its foundation. If the builders followed code and built it with integrity the structure will stand. If the builders cut costs and build one on bad ground or without proper specs, the structure will fall.
When we are faced with life's storms we too will show are true foundation. It seems that when trials and temptations hit, we are too quick to panic or jump ship. We may look good on the outside but inside our foundation is crumbling. The only way we stand a chance of having a strong secure foundation is, if its in Christ Jesus. 1 Cor 3:11 says, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Today if you have built on a bad foundation... a bad marriage, bad financial decisions, not faithful to God... Then let him tear those things down in your life and rebuild your life in Him. He is your strong foundation.

The Mind of a Youth Pastor 2.0

I am not a good writer at all, nor a decent "blogger," but I am going to try and do this again. My goal is and has always been to write down my thoughts and journal about my day. I have a great wife and kids, youth group, and so much more going on that I want to get it down. So, here is "the Mind of a Youth Pastor 2.0" enjoy.
